ATELIER TIPII

In an inner courtyard of the Fontaine-Lestang district in Toulouse, the TiPii glassblowing workshop puts the art of craftsmanship in the spotlight.

Where industry erases the human being who manufactures, Thibaut Nussbaumer shows on the contrary to the people what the hand of the craftsman can make. The "glassmaker from the end of the street", revives the local craft and dusts off this ancestral know-how to anchor it in its time. In his workshop-boutique, the glassblower gives life to his creations, from molten glass heated to over 1000°C. From the tip of his cane, the magic operates between incessant rotations and blowing of the material which distends and takes shape. The gestures are fast and sharp, the senses sharpened. In 15 years of practice, the craftsman has learned to tame the rigors of the material, to offer his customers unique pieces imbued with human warmth, 100% handmade and stamped made in Toulouse! Tableware, decoration, custom-made pieces... Between design and poetry, each piece has a story dedicated to it. The small JEANNETTES vases, directly inspired by traditional glassware, are none other than the Dames-Jeannes revisited in a "brocante de poche" version
